Lagos State Government Sues Davido Over Failure To Pay Tax

The Lagos State Government has launched a campaign to clam down on high profile tax defaulters.

Prominently, the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS) has purportedly impelled a claim against David Adeleke otherwise known as Davido who has not possessed the capacity to make legitimate abatement of duty on his profit. The DMW supervisor and well known humorist, AY were professedly dragged to court over tax avoidance.

Davido, who has record deals with Sony Music Entertainment and endorsement agreements with various companies in Nigeria, has not filed his tax returns or remit any taxes to the Lagos State Government,” a source said.

Also, Davido had recently declared his team grossed half a billion naira (500,000,000) from his December concert.

A reliable government source revealed that Davido had defended his action, claiming that he paid taxes to Osun State since he is an indigene of the state.
